Important note about Twitch VoDs— while our music is not supposed to get any streamer’s VoD muted at all, it has come to our attention that it may happen to streamers who are using our music.

As many streamers recommend, if you wish to save/publish your VoDs, always use the OBS plugin/setting that separates your background music from your VoD. Removing the music (copyright-safe or not!) is the best option. It is the fault of Twitch, not the artist.

For the record, there is no issue whatsoever with our music and YouTube. It is fully allowed to be used in any YouTube video (livestream, or edited/normal video!). See the image below.

Thank you for understanding about Twitch’s quirkiness. Below is an important tweet by a well-known Twitch expert (from August 2022), and also a very helpful video on how to set this up for your streams. He goes a bit fast in the intro, but the rest of the video is very easy to follow!

Hey Streamers! We actually started StreamKitty because of all of you. Seriously!

As mentioned elsewhere and always, if you have specific requests of music you want to hear and use in your livestreams, please let us know. We will make it specifically for you and also include easter eggs in the song titles, that only you will recognize.

Whatever you all want, we will make. Thank you to all of you who responded to us recently, who are as excited as we are. As of 5/28/2023, we are working very hard on all of your awesome music requests!

You guys asked me what kind of music I wanted for my streams as I’m relatively new to all of this. I asked for dreamcore & ambient (really, anything pretty), and wow, you guys delivered, immediately. And you said there’s at least 10 more albums coming? I cannot wait. Thank you for all you do. -Stacy (Twitch)

I was pretty surprised, to be honest, when you both reached out and asked me what I wanted. I thought you were just some soulless enterprise wanting money from me or some stupid subscription. Pleasantly surprised when I asked for more slow, relaxing jazz (after hearing Midnight In Paris) and you guys released Moon and Stars and then 4 other albums right after that. Love it all. Can’t wait to hear more, and thanks again. – Rob (Twitch)
